Ideal Gifts Company History
Ideal Gifts a division of Friendly Toys and Gifts was started 48 years ago as a home business with Chris & Mary Hoffman as the only TWO Ideal Gifts Advisors. For many years the business was operated directly from the family home. In 1970 we changed our name to "Friendly" to avoid confusion with Ideal Toy Company. We take great pride in reintroducing in 2001 Ideal Gifts as the new name of our Catalogs. Our Company has grown over the years through hard work and dedication to the success of our Advisors. The Company is now operated by Chris and Mary's children; Tom, Chris, Bob, and Mary, who have also grown with the business and are truly dedicated to the principles that have made Ideal Gifts Number One - Dependability - Value - Service - Quality & Integrity.
Today we occupy a huge 287,000 square foot facility that houses a state-of-the-art material handling system consisting of over 3 miles of conveyors and electronic order picking and verification systems. Parties are picked by a touch light system which virtually eliminates errors and are barcode inspected for 100% accuracy.
Our wonderful Advisors come from every walk of life; Moms, Dads, career persons, home makers, and retirees. Ideal Gifts party plan merchandise is sold at home gatherings of friends, or by taking orders directly from our catalogs. It can be a PART TIME or FULL TIME Advisorship with an UNLIMITED EARNING POTENTIAL.
